          On October 28th, 1981, drummer Lars Ulrich (born in Gentofte, Denmark on December 26th, 1963) makes an offer to singer/guitarist James Hetfield (born in Los Angeles, California on August 3rd, 1963) to record a song to be released on the new label Metal Blade Records.
